Movie Review - Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief was actually a really fun movie; I've read a lot of reviews that bashed this movie like no tomorrow and I'm still trying to figure out why... No, it didn't follow the book to a T, it had it's moments of absolute absurdity, and it was a little fast paced, but when all was said and done... It was a lot of fun! With an enjoyable story, a surprising number of cameos, great special effects, and some young actors that have promising futures this was a very entertaining ride.

I would recommend this to anyone just looking for a movie to sit back and enjoy, nothing too heavy, just a good movie.

Plot -- 9
Action -- 9
Acting -- 9 (The cameos alone are worth the movie)
Directing -- 9
Visuals -- 10
Overall -- 9

Movie Review: Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 was phenomenal. There isn't a whole lot more that can be said. As odd as it sounds this series reminds me of the original Star Wars series; Wait, wait... Let me explain; The first movie was revolutionary, the second was a little bit of a let down (but introduced some great characters), and the third turns out to be the best of the three. Alright, enough analogies... Simply put, Toy Story 3 was what Toy Story 2 should have been. With the introduction of a great "villain" and the addition of even more fun characters to add to the core cast this movie was entertaining throughout! This movie has it all; fresh humor, action, adventure, emotion, etc...

Guess Who's Back!

Ok, so... I know, it's been quite awhile since my last post but I'm back with a vengeance (not like it matters.. no one is following me yet so really I'm just talking to myself).
Anyways; I'm going to make my posts a lot more regular now, so feel free to follow me! :)

Review: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Cast: Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day

This is a diamond in the rough. I saw this really not knowing what to expect, but, I loved it! With Neil Patrick Harris leading a fun cast through a twisted tale of a Super Villain would be's rise to greatness (or, rather, terribleness). Written and directed by Joss Whedon (Buffy, Firefly, etc..) Dr. Horrible becomes an instant classic of it's kind. The music is well written and rather hilarious, as is the rest of the show. If you are one who enjoys a good laugh with quality comedy, this is 45 minutes that you won't regret! I emplore anyone to give it a shot: Dr. Horrible.
